Happy Sunday everyone! Parm and Heidi were up early today, and the recovery continues.<\/p>\n
Heidi looked good. \u00a0She did an ultrasound early this morning to take a peek at the new liver. \u00a0 She came back, saying that the doctors said all is good. \u00a0The nurse came by and took her blood sugar, which also came back normal. \u00a0I believe the official word is that she no longer needs insulin. \u00a0Yipee! \u00a0Heidi’s also on a full diet now; she can have anything under the sun (hospital approved that is). \u00a0It was a happy moment when I got to order apple sauce, yogurt, and scrambled eggs for her. \u00a0She didn’t eat all of it, but it’s nice that she’s thinking about food again. \u00a0In general, Heidi says she feels different and feels very different than\u00a0when she had the old liver.<\/p>\n
Unfortunately, Parm is still feeling pains. \u00a0His bodily organs are still trying to wake up from the surgery and drugs, so that is causing him quite some discomfort. \u00a0The good news is that Parm has been unhooked from his dance partner, making him pretty much\u00a0wireless again. \u00a0The epidural line was also\u00a0removed. \u00a0It’s nice to know there’s nothing tapped into his spine anymore. \u00a0Right now, Parm’s just hoping his body warms up quick so he\u00a0can feel like himself again. \u00a0Good luck Parm!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
