Liverzilla

On Thursday June 26th, 2014, I will be donating the left lobe of my liver to my mother.  This was an easy decision for me to make.  My mother gave me the opportunity of life, and I am in a very unique position to be able to repay her with the same thing she gave to me.  I want her to be able to enjoy her retirement.  I want her to see her grandkids.  I want her to have a chance; the same chance she gave me.

So how did we get here?

  1. A noble & loving deed. You’re one of few young men who have always had my respect and admiration. Your Mom did a great job raising you. I know you’re in good hands. I will pray for your & your Mom’s speedy recovery.

  2. Hooray Heidi and Parm–the power of family, friends, and prayers! We’re with you all the way! Somehow, I don’t think Heidi is going to think her scar is so gnarly, but who knows–like mother, like son!

  3. I have been reading with great glee your roads to recovery. Wow that picture of Heidi is just beautiful – even in her hospital bed she is stunning 🙂 What is there to say about the Boy, if someone suggests that he walk 2 laps you know he’ll do 6, you go Parm! As for all of you angels who are updating us, sleeping in chairs ~ may the Goddesses bestow their blessings on you! I look forward to the post when both of you are planning for the transition back to Hale Parmelee, until then my friends I will continue to send healing thoughts and love your way. Smooches!
